Little Joe’s Autos was established in 1971 as a sole proprietorship engaged in the sale and financing of used cars to the retail public. We continue to operate in the same manner: one location, focused on retail sales and financing.
August 1971 – Little Joe’s Autos opens for business on Indian River Road in Chesapeake in a building which included offices, a one car garage and paved lot for 40 cars.
January 1972 – Indian River Road is widened and the loss of our street frontage forces us to find a new location.
June 1974 – Moved to present location on Military Highway at Greenbrier; into a building with office space, an unpaved lot, and trees for miles around! (Quite a few years before Greenbrier Parkway, “Automobile Dealership Row”, and an exit off the interstate.) Various improvements were made over the years as the business continued to prosper and grow
December 1990 – Construction is completed on a modern two story auto dealership, and Little Joe’s Autos realizes the goal of giving their “used car customers” a “new car” dealership atmosphere in which to do business. We are now able to showcase over one hundred cars in the showroom and lot
2000 to present – Little Joe’s Autos keeps pace with the ever- changing advances in technology which enables us to respond quickly to market changes and customer needs. Our goals and objectives for this decade revolve around building continued customer loyalty and maintaining our position in the Hampton Roads automotive marketplace
2006 Little Joe's Awarded Mitsubishi and Isuzu franchise
2006 Little Joe's opens Certified Service and Parts Department for both Mitsubishi and Isuzu
April 2008 Little Joe's Autos is awarded with Mitsubishi Motor Corporations "Diamond Chapter of Excellence" It is an award that proves customer quality and satisfaction. The Award is proudly displayed in the main showroom
July 2008 Little Joe's Autos is awarded Suzuki, Parts, Service and Sales
March 2009 Little Joe's opens their Suzuki dealership on Military Hwy. 1 light away from the main store.
October 2011 Little Joe's starts offering the Little Joe's Loyalty Club with the purchase of a new or used vehicle. The Little Joe's Loyalty Club offers Free oil changes and Free state inspections for as long as you own the vehicle.
March 2012 Little Joe's builds a state of the art Collision Center that uses the same environmentally friendly water based paint that your vehicle was built with.
October 2012 Suzuki stops selling vehicles in the United States and Little Joe's makes a commitment to continue supplying parts, service, and warranty work for all Suzuki cars and trucks
